Nestled in the heart of Liguria, Collina San Michele is an eco-friendly campsite in Cinque Terre, founded in 1971. A favorite retreat for travelers seeking peace, nature, and sustainable tourism, it continues to embrace the essence of a traditional campsite while evolving with a strong environmental commitment.
With the new management since 2022, we have strengthened our mission: promoting sustainable travel and eco-conscious choices that enhance both our lives and the world around us.
We encourage slow travel, whether on foot, by bike or via public transport (discover our special prices for Zero Emission stays).
At our bar and restaurant, we minimize plastic use whenever possible. Thanks to a “returnable” policy, glass water bottles are sent back to the manufacturer, and all waste is carefully sorted.
To help reduce single-use plastic, we provide reusable water bottles for rent, allowing you to refill them at the many public fountains in Cinque Terre – saving money while protecting our environment.
🌍 Our impact so far:
- In 2023, we avoided 3,500 plastic bottles (0.5L).
- In 2024, that number increased to 4,200.
We are committed to sustainable energy solutions:
✅ Hot water powered by a heat pump
✅ 8 kW photovoltaic system, preventing 6 tons of CO2 emissions per year
✅ Zero gas usage
Our bar-bistro proudly showcases Ligurian specialties: local wines, craft beers, regional spirits, and high-quality food products from trusted sources within the territory.
