This project features three rising stars of Italian jazz (now major players), alongside one of the most iconic trumpet voices out there. For over a decade, this group has shaped its own unique sound, powered by the raw soul of the Hammond organ. Leonardo Corradi and Matteo Cidale have been musical partners for 15+ years, sharing stages with giants like Scott Hamilton, Jesse Davis, Massimo Faraó, and more. They’ve also rocked with Massimo Moriconi, Harry Allen, Deborah J. Carter, Gianluca Guidi, Peppe Servillo, and funk legends Fred Wesley & Martha High – straight from James Brown’s world. Diego Piscitelli, bassist from La Spezia, is all over the scene – playing with Roberto Gatto, Maurizio Giammarco, Tom Kirkpatrick, Michael Rosen, Deborah Carter, Johannes Faber, and Alessandro Lanzoni. 🎺 Flavio Boltro has had a truly stellar 40-year career – crossing jazz, pop, cinema and TV. He’s worked on soundtracks, film scores, and shows alongside legends like Augusto Martelli and Riz Ortolani. At just 25, he joined Steve Grossman’s Quintet with Cedar Walton, Billy Higgins, and David Williams, later replaced by Clifford Jordan and Jimmy Cobb. His most iconic collab? No doubt the long-standing partnership with Michel Petrucciani, in duo and sextet, with the likes of Steve Gadd, Anthony Jackson, Stefano Di Battista, and Bob Brookmeyer. He’s also jammed with Italian legends like Lucio Dalla, Gino Paoli, and Pino Daniele.
